They live alongside us foxes, urban and country. Your fox looks well fed. Years ago when my son was about 12 years old, we had a tame fox. I had rabbits and he would go to sleep in the flower bed just by them innocently of course! I have a marvellous photo of my son with the fox on the lawn holding out his hand to the fox. Next door neighbour screeched away about danger and the fox disappeared.
Those wildlife cameras are great entertainment, aren't they? My cousin got some great deer photos at our property yesterday. We've gotten pictures of a black bear, a bold coyote, foxes, and lots of deer on ours. Are your foxes red or grey foxes?
A healthy looking, beautiful animal. The man who lives in the last house of O.K.‘s village before the fields start has been filming four fox cubs and their mum on the meadow behind his house. They come out to play in the evening while there is still enough daylight for him to see them. They look super cute but we all know they are not pets, and best left alone.
I welcome comments and hope to respond within a day or two, but my condition is making this increasingly difficult. Some days I might not look here at all. Also please note that comments on posts over 7 days old will not appear until they have been moderated.
I like the fact that creatures take over their world after dark.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too. Things that go in while we sleep. Three o'clock in the morning. You'd have great fun with a wildlife camera, Pat.
DeleteA good fox capture.
ReplyDeleteTrue, but we were also hoping it would wave at the camera and do a little jig.

ReplyDeleteMy cousin in Leeds says they sleep on her shed roof and the cubs are cute, but you can't trust them at all.
DeleteDoes he keep the rats away do you think?
ReplyDeleteWe have a neighbour called Mrs Rat Poison who looks after that. We have not told her about the fox.
DeleteHe's checking everything out very carefully!
ReplyDeleteIt had rained for the first time in several nights, so I think he's searching for earthworms.

ReplyDeleteBrown - does that count as your grey? Your visitors are much more exotic than ours.

Definitely not pets: wild and untrustworthy. Even the cats keep well out of its way. The camera has not picked up both within the same hour.
